Big Businesses and Liberals need to abandon IR Policies

There are disturbing reports of employers trying to  lock workers into lower-paid AWAs for five years prior to the incoming Labor Government scrapping AWAs. (ACTU Report)

This shows that sections of the business community and Liberals still haven't heard the message from voters that they want their rights at work protected and they want AWAs gone.

ACTU President Sharan Burrow says,"Even Senior Liberals like former Workplace Relations Minister Joe Hockey acknowledged they went too far with Work Choices."

TWU Branch Secretary Hughie Williams says,"Unfortunately AWAs will not disappear overnight and workers still need to be on guard."
