Safety will be a key priority for the TWU in 2010.

Why?

- Truck drivers are dying at an alarming rate on our roads and it needs to stop.

- Airport staff are being injured at work

- Transport workers are working longer hours and not receiving regular breaks or compensation.

What will the TWU Do?

- Fight the Rudd Labor Government for real, enforceable Chain of Responsibility Laws that make companies and clients accountable.

- Continue our "Stop the Road Carnage Campaign"

- Fight for national rates of pay for Owner Drivers

- Secure fairer petrol prices for TWU Members

-Invest in training our delegates
