School Children's Lives are at RiskThe QLD TWU is calling for an immediate investigation into a bus company that allows their drivers to overload school buses. The call comes after numerous school buses were overloaded yesterday and in one particular incident 120 high school students were cramped into one bus. TWU Branch Secretary Hughie Williams says, "The company has a document that directs the bus drivers to carry the students and report the instance of overloading to their Operations Manager after the event." Mr Williams says, "He won't sit and watch the lives of school kid's being put at risk and he has contacted the Transport Minister's Office for an immediate review into the company's school bus protocol." |
