THE TWU PLANS TO FIND OUT WHAT MANAGEMENT IS HIDING

The QLD TWU will be out in force at Veolia Buses at Capalaba today seeking an urgent safety inspection on their buses.

Over the last fortnight it has been alleged by members of the public and bus drivers that:

- There maybe a number of buses at Veolia that are unroadworthy

- There maybe a number of bus drivers at Veolia that are driving illegal hours

-The company maybe breaking the State's Fatigue Management Laws

Following these allegations the TWU visited Veolia Buses in Capalaba yesterday but were refused entry onto the company's yards.

TWU Branch Secretary Hughie Williams says, "What is the company hiding? We can't afford to have fatigued drivers and unroadworthy school buses on our roads."

The TWU will be at Veolia Buses at Capalaba at 12.45pm today.
