TRUCKIES TO SNUB COLES PETROL

The QLD Transport Workers' Union is urging all Transport Workers to bypass Coles Express Service Stations.

The call comes after the ACCC released a report today, stating that Coles Express are pushing their prices up in major cities such as Brisbane.

ACCC Head Graeme Samuel says, "Motorists should be wary as the Coles Discount Petrol Vouchers will not incur any savings at the bowser."

TWU Branch Secretary Hughie Williams says, "Everyone, transport workers and motorists should bypass Coles Express Service Stations as they're ripping off hard working Australians."

Mr Williams says, "By increasing the prices at the bowser, long distance truck drivers usually pass the increase onto consumers."

The TWU will continue to monitor the prices at Coles Express Service Stations.
