Letters to the TWU

Being a member of the TWU is the cheapest insurance I ever had.

Yours faithfully,

Garry Kear

I would like to thank the TWU for their support in our battles with Australia Post and wish all the staff the best in their new industrial environment.

Yours, G.A.Phillips.

To Hughie Williams and the TWU Staff,

I would just like to say THANKS for sticking it to Qantas Chief Executive Geoff Dixon who is more concerned about making profits than looking after his employees.

3% pay increase, what a joke.

Ian Smith.

I attended the Airline Workers meeting and BBQ on Tuesday night at the TWU Office. I just wanted to say thank you, I learnt a lot from the speeches, I would have paid $100 to be there.

Very Happy,

Libby Ponton.

Hughie Williams

To both of you, a quick thank you from me for your time and support that directly resulted in the retention of my position at NQX Eagle Farm. As I don't believe such a result could have been attained without your presence. I am most grateful and certainly in your debt.

Unionly Yours,

Rory Reid.

To the Transport Workers Union,

I would just like to thank you for your support and assistance in my compensation claim.

The Union's lawyers Maurice Blackburn helped me win my claim.

In particular I wish to acknowledge the diligence and expertise of Ms Alison Barrett of Maurice Blackburn, who was superb in her representations on my behalf.

Yours fraternally,

Brian Haynes.

Dear Hughie Williams,

I would like to thank you and your team for helping us in the commission last friday. Through your efforts and the dilligent work of your team the Commissioner ruled that our company return to the negotiating table and continue talks with us. Many of my fellow drivers are very happy with this outcome.

Yours Sincerely,

 Wayne.

Mr Hughie Williams,

I throughly concur with your remarks regarding the admissions of Mr Robin Tampoe pertaining to baggage handlers and the Corby case.

(The TWU has demanded a public apology from Mr Tampoe after he revealed on Channel Nine that he made a false claim in Corby's case that Australian baggage handlers were responsible for the marijuana in Schapelle's boogie board bag).

Surely Mr Tampoe can no longer represent the law.

Regards,

Ian Anderson.

To Hughie Williams,

Congratulations on your well chosen remarks about the slur on baggage handlers by Corby Lawers.

John Aitken.
