LABOUR DAY WEEKEND

This year’s Labour Day celebrations will be held on the weekend of Saturday 03 and Sunday 04 May 2014.

The weekend of festivities will vary across Queensland and will include a range of family fun day’s, barbeques and marches.

In 2013, when Queensland Premier Campbell Newman decided to try and take our May Day from us, Queenslanders let their feet do the talking.

Over 20,000 turned out in Brisbane alone, adding to the thousands proudly taking part in Labour Day activities across Queensland. It was a true showing of the spirit and importance of our Labour Day in May and we hope to build on that this year.

Your TWU look forward to seeing you join in on the 2014 Labour Day activities, which are currently being organised. Please check back here soon for more details.
