Your TWU bargaining reps met with Cleanaway on Monday 18th December. Unfortunately, it was not possible to reach an “in principle” agreement with Cleanaway.
You voted down Cleanaway’s proposed Agreement because Cleanaway wanted to introduce ordinary hours on weekends for new employees. Cleanaway won’t let go of its claim and now want you to consider 2 options:
- Option 1 – 9% over 3 years (Drivers and Narangba – 7.5% other plant operators) and a $500 sign on bonus (drivers and Narangba) provided you agree to a Monday to Sunday spread of ordinary hours for new employees; or
- Option 2 – 8.25% over 3 years (Drivers and Narangba – 6.75% other plant operators) and a $500 sign on bonus (drivers and Narangba) – span of ordinary hours remains as Monday to Friday for all on this process.
