The Transport Workers’ Union of QLD sends a message to our members in aviation that your TWU’s first priority is your job security, pay and conditions as airlines go public with turbulent financial forecasts.
Qantas has announced a record $2.84 billion loss after Alan Joyce and his board of mis-managing directors have bungled the books yet again. Now their latest strategy is another internal restructure to shift Qantas into a ‘holding company’.
Under Alan Joyce’s laughable leadership, over the last five years the share price has fallen by 80%, dividends have ceased and shares have been re-rated to junk status.
Your TWU knows how angry you are at what this crowd has done to your airline you built from the ground up.
One thing has not changed at Qantas: you, TWU members, are still there and will be there long after Alan Joyce is gone.
We’d like this to happen sooner rather than later.

As Qantas workers and TWU members this is your airline, our airline and together with strong membership we can rebuild it the way we want to see it.
Remember: the stronger we are as a force on the ground, the more members we have, the more we can call the shots at the airport. Because without you, no plane leaves the ground.
